scrappy bits and pieces

Here is a little bit of inspiration to help you all get the wheels turning and get you excited about your upcoming scrap projects. We will have another one in few days, if there is nothing in this one to spark your interest, stay tuned!

Check out the scrappy scarf in this post.
These lavender sachets are a great idea.
Search your local library for books on "zakka" crafts. There are many lovely scrappy ideas in them. Searching Flickr for "zakka" turns up some really good results too.Heather Bailey's pincushions and pears are good examples of using scraps.
Making applied t-shirts is quick, fun, and doesn't require very many scraps either.

I found this website today "50 scrap and remnant ideas with free patterns" make sure to browse around their site. They've got a wealth of info on there.
If you don't sew but still want to join in, these covered push pins are mighty cute, no sewing required!
Please tell me that I'm not the only one who has just found the blog "How About Orange?"
If you click on the link it will take you to her tutorials page. There are many cool ones so keep scrolling down.
Let's keep an eye on this Flickr group. They are having a challenge somewhat like ours. It will be interesting to see what they come up with too!
I really like this notebook cover. So pretty with the rainbow effect.

Happy planning to you all!

I found 'How about Orange' the other day when I was looking for scrappy ideas for this swap. I love the push pin idea! What a fun resource that blog is.
I can't wait for the swap. I've been putting together my fabric scraps. Should we try to choose fabrics that coordinate, or make it a free-for-all?
